Cres Croatia is an island on the Adriatic Sea. It is proud to host some of best beaches in Croatia. We are going to present our readers with our favorites, but we believe that everyone can find his favorite one.
Lubenice Beach
Located near Lubenice this beach is also called Sveti Ivan. It is one of the most beautiful beaches of Croatia with deep blue waters with one of the finest sands you’ll see in this country.
To get to this beach you will have to walk from Lubenice of hire a boat top take you for the day. Take plenty of water.
This beach is in the list of the 15 most beautiful beaches of the world.
Zdovica Beach
This beach has a cute camping ground of tents only. It is only 5 minutes’ walk from Valun center. This beach has showers and other facilities. It is considered one of the best family beaches in Croatia.
When finding parking space try to park outside of the village of Valun, which is closed to cars. There is a minimal charge for unlimited time.
Mali Bok Beach
Follow the signs from Orlec that lead you to this beach. On top near the cemetery, you’ll find plenty of parking space and there is a 10 minutes’ walk to get to the beach. Although coming back up is harder.
This beach has no amenities, so you should bring all your equipment like umbrellas, towels and water, lots of water.
Marascica Beach
Located 1 km from the village of Stivan. It is almost never crowded and the waters are crystal-clear and very clean with tine pebbles. It is great for swimming.
Krušćica Beach This pebbly beach is located near the town of Merag. The bay is an area of conservation due to its biodiversity. You’ll have to walk through the woods to get to this beach, but the result is unbelievable. | ||
Stara Porozina Beach Located in the same name town, this another one difficult to reach by walking through the woods. It is a secluded beach and never crowded even during high season. It is great for adventurers. |
Kovačine Beach
Located on the namesake cape is this gorgeous beach surrounded by cliffs. The waters are very shallow, ideal for small children learning to swim.
It has all the basic amenities like showers, changing rooms, toilets and also a bar for refreshments. Here you may rent pedalos to play with the children or play beach volley ball.
This beach was awarded a Blue Flag which is a mark of exquisite cleanliness.
Slatina beach
This is one of the dog friendly beaches in Croatia, so you may come here with your pets. It is located close to the town of Martinšćice and has specific sections where dogs can enjoy swimming.
The beach has a bar, restaurant, toilet and changing cabins.
Beach at Plava Grote
It is located in Žanje Bay next to the legendary St Ivan's beach under the picturesque town of Lubenice. In the bay, there is a little pebble beach and a sea cave called Plava Grote.
This beach could get very crowded during high season.
